Gary Thomas Scott

Baileyville – Gary Thomas Scott, 42, passed away unexpectedly January 15, 2015. Gary was born November 15, 1972 to Glenn and Anita (Lazure) Scott in Putnum, CT. He grew up and attended school in Baileyville where he played basketball for Woodland High. Gary loved the outdoors, going to cookouts during the summer and spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing; he loved to go out on the lakes with his soulmate Tracy Hatt and their children to teach them to fish or he could be found ice fishing with his closest friend, Jamie McArthur in the winter months. He appreciated the little things in life, like good ole country music and watching movies. Gary truly enjoyed his trade of carpentry in which he was exceptional. In addition to his father, Gary was predeceased by his step father, Edmund Bell. He will be sadly missed by his one true love, Tracy Hatt; his mother, Anita Bell, of Baileyville; son, Thomas; three daughters, Taya, Megan and Kayla; a sister, Gayla; four brothers, Jim, Jody, Walter and Chad; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and family and special friends. A celebration of Gary’s life will be announced at a later date.
