Pembroke – Geneva Clark Quirk, 103, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Geneva was born in Pembroke on January 12, 1910, daughter of Captain Fred and Edith Clark. After graduating from high school in Pembroke she went into nursing training in Massachusetts, where she met and married Joseph Quirk. After Joseph passed, she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Virginia. Geneva enjoyed spending her summers in Pembroke where her fondest memories presided. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Historical Society. Surviving are her daughter Helen Quirk Sexton and her husband Philip; grandchildren Julie Sexton, Lisa Sexton-Peter and her husband Johnie Peter, and Paul Sexton and his wife Eileen Sexton; great-grandchildren Alexa Merkert, Nicky and Alex Peter, and Paul and Meagan Sexton; great-great grandchildren Hunter Morton, Camden Tinker, and twin girls Avaya and Amira Tinker. A private graveside service will be held at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
