Brookton – George N. Boutot, 94, passed away at his home on August 18, 2021, in Brookton with loved ones by his side. George was born on March 4, 1927, to Felix and Stella (Serois) Boutot.
George loved life. He was passionate about the great outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and traveling. George spent the last twenty-plus years with his loving wife Ada and their furry babies on Jackson Brook Lake. They enjoyed entertaining family and friends and relaxing in the screen house.
George worked hard his whole life leaving his small town of St. John, Maine, to join the service. Where he served, in the US ARMY. George became an ironworker and worked at his trade. He belonged to the Local 15 Iron Workers Union (AFL-CIO) for over 65 years. American Legion Post #200 in Rocky Hill, CT, Princeton Rod & Gun Club, and St. Anne's Catholic Church in Danforth.
George was a true family man and a devoted father. He loved to share his knowledge of life and his experiences with others, especially with his younger brother Jr, niece Geri, and nephews Wilfred and Carl, who all had a special place in his heart.
He was predeceased by Hilda, the mother of his children, Sons Gerald, William, Bernard, and three special siblings. George leaves behind his wife Ada, son Daniel, daughters Suzanne of Conn. and Gayla of Baileyville. Brother and best friend Jr, Claude, Sister Gloria, all of Conn. Many grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid, a Celebration of life will be held on Father’s Day weekend 2022. George’s wishes were for you to spend the afternoon on the lake fishing with your loved ones instead of flowers. Services by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
