George Richard Morrison

George R. Morrison, 78, died April 24, 2008 at his home passing from the loving arms of his family to the loving arms of his Savior. He was born in Dallas, Texas, September 18, 1929 the son of Harry and Jessie (Elliott) Morrison. George moved with his family to Fresno, CA as a child and spent his youth living and working on the family farm. George served in Navy and was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post #15020. He loved his Scottish heritage and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had a passion for history and loved reading. He attended the Community Christian Fellowship Church in Calais and was a devout Baptist. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Annalee Beamer and Glynn Morrison. Survivors include his wife Ruth (Chute) Morrison of Baileyville, daughters Blanche Metcalf of Eastport, Marion Morrison of CT., and Bonnie Morrison of Eastport, two sisters Dora Walker and Evelyn Horn, and a brother J.C. Morison all of CA., grandchildren Sherrie Metcalf of Eastport, Amy Metcalf of N.Y., Mandy Metcalf of Biddeford, Melissa Couture, Joseph Yuscanitch , and Jeffrey Yuscanitch of Ct., great grandchildren Nathan and Kaitlyn Couture and Allison Yuscanitch of CT., Maya Tirado of Eastport, Deanna Lerke, Cassidy Lerke and Drake Lerke all of N.Y.; a special sister in law MarionTrott , and a very special nephew Teddy Trott whose attention and care was greatly appreciated, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
