Baileyville – George Morrell Perkins Jr., 37, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 30 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. George was born in St. Stephen, February 3, 1969. He served in the US Army and was a member of Labor International Union of America #1377. George enjoyed fishing, hunting, building canoes, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and wood working. Surviving are his mother, Elaine (Cochran) Perkins; four sisters, Dianna Meserve and husband Foster Jr. of Wales, Bonnie Engroff and husband John of Princeton, Rebecca Perkins of Calais, and Joyce Dawson and husband Keith of Bar Mills; his fiancé, Jennifer Lessard of Gray; a nephew, Stephen; and 5 nieces, Justina, Amanda, Kimberlee, Ashlee, and Elaine. A funeral service was held 10 a.m. Monday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, with Father David Sivret officiating. Burial followed in Princeton Cemetery with military honors.
