Baileyville – Geraldine E. Patterson, 85, died Sunday, October 02, 2005, at a Calais nursing home. Geraldine was born in Baileyville, August 30, 1920, daughter of the late Gerald and Elva (Cousins) Seamans. She was employed by Wareknitters as a stitcher. Geraldine was a member of People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville and W. T. Wren Post Unit 23 American Legion Auxiliary of Baileyville , where she was Past President and Past County President. She enjoyed beano and dolls. Geraldine attended courses on doll repair and was known as the “Town Doll Doctor”. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Patterson, two children, David and Marina Patterson; three sisters, Wilfred Robinson, Gertrude Seamans, and Grace Harriman; a brother, Dale Seamans; and a great-grand daughter, Pamela Brownrigg. Surviving are her daughter, Gloria Burtt and husband Mark of Milford; four sisters, Mary Perry of FL, Jean Kravas and husband Bill of Washington state; Evelyn Aiken and husband Bruce of FL, and Marlene Lord and husband Gordon of FL; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Patterson McGarrigle ; five grandchildren, Toni Fawkes and husband Brian of Milltown, NB, Jody Patterson and wife Nancy of Bar Harbor, Todd Patterson of Vermont; Karen Burtt and fiancé Charlie Brown of Indian Township, and Benjamin Burtt and wife Erika of Honolulu, Hawaii; seven great-grandchildren; two special nieces Lori Diadone of Baileyville and Penny Cross of Charlotte; a special nephew, Alton “Buzzy” Seavey; many other nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, John McArthur of Baileyville. Friends may call 6 – 9 p.m. Friday, October 7 for a memorial gathering at her residence, 2133 South Princeton Rd., Baileyville. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, at South Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, with Pastor Rolfe Flood officiating. A reception will follow the graveside service at W.T. Post #23 in Baileyville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Geraldine’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
