Princeton – Glen “Tonto” Allard Thornton, 55, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Glen was born in Calais on December 21, 1959, son of the late Orland Thornton and Glennis (Cilley) Thornton Seavey. Glen graduated from Woodland High School, Class of 1978. He was an accomplished millwright/craftsman in numerous construction trades with extensive heavy construction experience. Glen was a dedicated employee of Cianbro for over 25 years. He was an avid trapper and member of the Downeast Chapter of the Maine Trappers Association. Glen also enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite past times was playing the guitar. Glen went to many fiddle camps and shows with his special friend Pearl. He was looked up to by many and will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his parents Glen was predeceased by his older brother Alan Thornton; and his faithful companion River. He is survived by his step-father Orris Seavey of South Princeton; his two sisters, Sheila Snow and Paul of Windham, and Becky Thornton-Harriman and Roger of Princeton; half-brothers Dean, Timmy, and Chris of Princeton; half-sister Janeen of Cape Cod, MA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special uncle Blin and wife Rachel Cilley; uncle Emerson Cilley; his aunts; and his hunting buddy Owen and long time friend Donna.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Princeton Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
