Sebago and Indian Township – Gregory A. Grant Jr., 25, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident. Greg was born in Calais, April 22, 1981, son of Gregory A. Grant Sr. and Melvina Newell Bassett. He was employed as a fork lift operator with Poland Spring. Greg enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Lila Rose Grant. He was predeceased by his father; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Katherine Grant, and his maternal grandfather, James Glover. Surviving are his mother, Melvina Newell Bassett; his daughter, Lila Rose Grant, all of Indian Township; two sisters, Juanita Grant of Farmington and Melissa Grant of Bangor; a brother, Franklin Grant of Indian Township; his girlfriend, Ashley Ross of Sebago; two nieces, Mattea and Olivia; two nephews, Jacob and Jahvon; his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Glover; an uncle Darrell Newell; two aunts, Sally Pelley and Jeannie Grant, all of Indian Township; and many paternal aunts and uncles. Friends may call at his mothers home, 13 Owl Lane, Indian Township starting 5 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday by Father Frank Morin at St. Ann Mission, Peter Dana Point. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
