Robbinston – Helen May Hayden, 94, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at a Calais nursing home. Helen was born in Robbinston, September 29, 1911, daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Nash) Brooks. She lived most of her life in Robbinston and a few years in San Ana, CA. Helen was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a great housekeeper, a gifted cook, and a very hard worker. She loved music and in her younger years went to the local dances. Along with her husband, Helen owned and operated Hayden’s Grocery in Robbinston for many years. She was predeceased by her husbands, Warren E. Moholland and Levi Hayden; two sisters, Betty Brown and Grace Morrow, both of CA.; a special daughter-in-law, Beverly Moholland; and two brothers, Ivan Brooks of CA and Elton Brooks and wife Ellen of Robbinston. Surviving are her brother, Clifton Brooks and wife Norma of Robbinston; a sister, Lois Teague and husband Gene of CA; a sister-in-law, Ester Brooks of CA; three sons, Richard Moholland and friend Mary MacDonald, Owen Moholland and wife Denise, and Warren Moholland and wife Thelma, all of Robbinston; three grandsons, Richard Moholland and friend Martha of Eastport, Joseph Moholland of VA, and Tommy Moholland and wife Cynthia of Robbinston; five granddaughters, Voni Moholland and husband Ron Swinnerton of Durango, CO, Kelly Comeau and husband Randy of Eastport, Cathy Footer and husband Mike of Robbinston, Susan Mingo and husband Dick of Red Beach, and Rachael York and husband Ron of Kennesaw, GA; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25 in Brewer Cemetery, Robbinston, with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating.
