Howard D. Allen Jr.

Howard Douglas Allen Jr., 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Howard was born in St. Stephen, NB, on July 15, 1955, son of Howard and Mary (Mahar) Allen.

Howard (Howie) will always be remembered for his tenacity for life, his love of his family and friends, jovial nature and sense of humor. Howie was an avid outdoorsman, wood worker, and loved Atving, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR which was a strong interest he shared with his son Joshua. Howard's Legacy proudly lives on with his loving wife Heidi, son Joshua S. Allen and wife Amy of North Carolina, stepson Chet Norton and wife Erin of Windham, and stepson Ryan Norton of Bangor. He also had a special brother Ralph Allen and wife Donalda of Alexander, special sister Paula Small and John, Shannon Guptill of Princeton. Howie was an attentive "grampy or Pops" and loved his grandchildren Cooper Allen, Destiny and Shelby Rourke, Rowen and Elise Norton, and Daniel Townsend of Pembroke as well as great grandchildren Carter and Kendall Mangin.  He was predeceased by his parents, Howard D. Allen Sr. and Norma Allen of Baileyville; and his brother Arthur Allen.

Howie worked over 35 years at the Bailyville Mill, beginning first with the chip and saw mill. He was a proud member of local union 330, a millright by trade.
