Howard Robert Moore

Pembroke – Howard Robert “Bob” Moore, 69, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Bob was born in Eastport on August 18, 1945, son of the late Howard Elliott and Theresa (Spear) Moore. He attended Pembroke schools and graduated from Pembroke High School, Class of 1963. After graduation he was employed at various jobs including Lewiston Welding, Georgia Pacific, Higgins Sports Center, and Calais Auto. His most enjoyable job was building fiberglass skiffs with his son Brian and friend Martin Brooks. Bob also scallop fished aboard his F/V Beulah Jane. Recently, he was the Harbormaster for the Town of Pembroke.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Sandra (Babbitt) Moore in 2010; a brother George; mother-in-law Pauline Robertson; and a great-grandson Avery. Surviving are his son Brian Moore and wife Debra; granddaughters Leslie Bassett Burke and Ashley Nicole Moore; sister Mary Agrillo; and friends Billy, Dennis, Stephen, Whitney, Brian P. and Mark.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Clarkside Cemetery, Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
