Indian Township – Howard Martin Stevens, 52, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 19, 2006. Howard was born February 10, 1954, son of the late Eugene and Freda (Ranco) Stevens. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Howard was predeceased by a son, Troy Sockabasin. Surviving are two sons, Howie Sockabasin and his wife Heather, and Glen Sockabasin, all of Indian Township; two daughters, Rosalie Stevens of Indian Township and Arianna Stevens of Seaward, Alaska; three brothers, Mark, Timmy, and Euene Stevens Jr. all of Indian Township; six sisters, Nora Deschaine, Janice Hegedty, Debbie Stevens, Gail Nicholas, and Vicky Boston all of Indian Township, and Lori Meader of Bangor; his grandchildren, Reanna, Paige, and Denkin Sockabasin, Travon Rhodes, and Jermiah Stevens; special friends, Victor Bottings and Grey Hawk; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at his home on 13 US Route 1, Indian Township from 5 p.m. Saturday till 10 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Morin 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anne’s Mission, Peter Dana Point. Burial will be held at a later date.
