Calais – Howard Irving Stott Jr, 57, died suddenly on the morning of January 21, 2020 at his home in Calais. Howard was born September 1, 1962 in Massachusetts and was the son of Howard I. Stott Sr and Lorraine (Cloutier) Stott.
He was a free spirit who knew where to find the good things in life. Storytelling came naturally to Howard; he could grab the attention of the entire room with his carefree personality and sense of humor. He was a talented builder and worked in construction for many years. Howard enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles daily, loved socializing, bowling, playing bingo and was a good friend of Mary Jane but nothing brought him more happiness than his children and grandchildren.
Howard was predeceased by his parents. He will be forever remembered by his three children, Christopher Stott of Attleboro, MA, Crystal Blackmore and her husband Chad of Merrill, IA and Cory Stott of Calais; his girlfriend, Joy York of Calais; sisters, Kathy Brown of Okeechobee, FL, Carol Brown and her husband Bob of North Attleboro, MA, Annemarie Stott of Central Falls, RI, Lisa Stott of North Attleboro and Liane Power and her husband Greg of Attleboro, MA; his brother, Kenny Stott of East Providence, RI; grandchildren, Michael, Mason and Marshall Blackmore and Harley, Haven and Kyrie Sabbatis and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 25th at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
