Pleasant Point – U-Neeq Francis, infant son of Dustin Francis and Desiree Lola, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Calais Regional Hospital. Besides his parents, U-Neeq is survived by a brother, Logan Francis; two sisters, Lakeysha and Tyeisha Francis; maternal grandparents, Beverly and Carl Jillson of Pleasant Point, and Vern Perley of Tobique, Canada; paternal grandparents, Dean Francis of Indian Township, and Janice Francis of New Mexico; great-grandmothers, Rebecca Francis of Pleasant Point and Rene` Attean of Indian Island; great-grandfather, Morris Perley of Tobique, Canada; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Elder Meal Site, Pleasant Point, starting 6 p.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Eugene Gaffey, 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home – Flagg Chapel, Eastport.
