Obituary for James Franklin Walton Jr

Princeton-- James F. Walton, Jr., 74, died at the Maine Veteran’s Home in Bangor March 5, 2008 on his 46th wedding anniversary. He was born in Caribou July 16, 1933 the son of James A. Sr. and Hazel (King) Walton. Jim worked as a Produce Inspector for the State of Maine for 15 years in Aroostook County and considered himself a real “county boy”. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and morning coffee with the “gang” at McDonald’s. He was an avid Red Sox fan, attending his first game at Fenway Park last year with the Second Baptist Church. Jim was a Deacon with the Second Baptist Church and was partial to all the members. He sang in the church choir for over 22 years but was known for singing anywhere “just because he was happy”. Jim was a dedicated worker and assisted his wife of 46 years, Carmella, run the food pantry for the church. Jim was a valuable asset to the church and will be greatly missed by Pastor Chris Stevens and all his fellow parishioners. He was predeceased by his parents James and Hazel. Survivors include his wife Carmella of Princeton; 3 sons, James Shannon of N.C., Shawn and his wife Elizabeth of St. Stephen, N.B., and Scott of Pembroke, 10 brothers and sisters Doris Carroll of N.C., Myrtle Spencer of Bangor, Maynard and his wife Carol of Orrington, Ronald and his wife Jean of VA., Elery of Caribou, Cecil and his wife Lois of Caribou, Lendell of Phippsburg, Judy Hanest and her husband Kenneth of VA., Pauline Connley and her husband Carroll of Glenburn and Lydia Dieckemann and her husband Douglas of Houlton, 2 granddaughters; Jessica and Amy, many nieces and nephews and so many friends it would be impossible to name them all.
