Janice M. Reed

Janice Reed, 58, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2024. She was born on December 18, 1965 in Weymouth. Massachusetts to Herman “Richard” Robertson and Carolyn Robertson.

She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Robertson of Eastport; daughter, Michelle. son Scotty, and cherished granddaughters Emma and Avery, all of Charlotte; siblings Richard Robertson and wife Janet of Whitman, Massachusetts; Lynn Hansen and husband Paul of Marshfield, Massachusetts; Kenny Robertson and wife Lee of Falmouth, Massachusetts; Carol Reed and husband Dan of Edmunds; Debbie Rosen of Baileyville; and many nieces and nephews she loved like her own children. Janice is predeceased by her father Herman “Richard” Robertson of Eastport and by her husband Scott Reed of Charlotte.

Janice grew up in Whitman, Massachusetts. She was stubborn and strong-willed from childhood and parlayed those skills into a successful managerial career. She was a hard worker and truly cared for the people she managed. On her days off she liked to relax in her waterbed and watch TV with her family. She especially loved her soaps! You could always count on Janice to have a fun time - whether she was playing music and dancing with her sisters or going on excursions. Every year she brought the kids to Eastport for the Fourth of July and took them all around town trick-or-treating on her favorite holiday, Halloween. She brought us to carnivals and fairs, to food festivals and cheer competitions. Even at home she would take walks down the road to see her sister or to see the neighbor’s horses - Janice loved horses and would bring carrots and apples for them. Janice was great at make-up and passed her knowledge onto her daughter, granddaughter, nieces and more. Janice was a big personality with an unforgettable laugh, unafraid to say exactly what she thought in the most blunt and hilarious way, unafraid to do what was right or good at her own expense. She really was a tough lady.

A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Janice loved her cross necklaces and ever-growing collection of angels. Now Janice is amongst the angels with God and Jesus, with her husband and her father.
