Eastport – Jean Lorraine Mahar, 89, was surrounded by family when she passed away on February 15, 2018 at Calais Regional Hospital. Jean was born on October 1, 1928 to Milford and Pearl Dudley in Dennysville, where she spent her childhood and graduated from Dennysville High School, class of 1945.

She also was a devoted mother and grandmother. Jean was a member of the Dennysville Edmunds Congregational Church but spent the later part of her life attending the Blakey Memorial Methodist Church in Eastport as the Treasurer and faithful fundraiser.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Carl L. Mahar in 2007; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elsie and Colby Cook.
