Jeffrey Alton Stanhope 55, died tragically on May 20, 2024. He was born to parents James and Joan (Emery) Stanhope in Ohio.
Jeff's greatest love in this life was his family. He married his soulmate, Kaloua on Boyden Lake on August 6, 1994. Together they had two wonderful children, Kimberly and Jeffrey, who they are so proud of. Jeff worked so hard to build a good life for his family and he succeeded. In 2017 he made another of his dreams come true, he found and bought a camp on Boyden Lake. Jeff put his blood, sweat, and tears into that camp to make it a beautiful home for his family. He was able to live at his dream home for one year before his death.
Jeff had so many accomplishments in his life. But his greatest accomplishment was being the best husband, father, Bamp/Bampy. Two things he was most proud of were the amazing children and grandchildren he had and working hard to make sure his marriage was strong. Jeff is more than we could have hoped for.
Jeff got great pleasure from teaching his kids and grandsons how to shoot a gun. He loved spending time fishing, hunting, and ice fishing with them as well as his brothers, nephews, and friends. He also enjoyed pokemon hunting with Everett, they caught a record breaking 19 shineys in one afternoon. He looked forward to picking Remington up on Tuesday afternoons and spending special one on one time with him. He was sure to show them his love.
It seems as though Jeff has sighted in every gun in the town of Perry, and was there a deer in Washington County that Jeff didn't track? He was a master at anything hunting and fishing and shared his knowledge with anyone who wanted it. He was excited about turning 55, because he wanted to get the savings of the senior discount, but he didn't get much time to use this benefit. He really enjoyed the surprise 55th birthday party his brother-in-law, Bug and wife Sabrena, threw for him. They were always up for an adventure with him.
To know Jeff is to know love. He never denied anyone of any ask of help-even when it was not best for him. He loved with all he had and it showed in all he did. To find someone who Jeff was a friend to you need to just look to your right, look to your left, and look into the mirror.
To say Jeff will be missed is a severe understatement. Our world will never be the same. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Julie, Janice, and Fred.
He is survived by his wife Kaloua, daughter Kimberly and Matthew, Son Jeffrey and Ashley, and four grandsons, Everett, Wesley, Remington, and Benjamin.
He is also survived by his Brothers Butch (Vicki) Stanhope, John (Carrie) Stanhope, and Charlie (Michelle) Stanhope, and sister Jamie (Art) Roy. He has numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Two special nephews Jesse and Justin Mcphail. Special brother-in-law, Angus (Barbara) Mcphail, and best friend since childhood, Willy.
