John Leo Neddeau

Princeton – John Leo Neddeau, 46, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, January, 23, 2016. John was born on August 11, 1969 to Dennis and Jean (Hartford) Neddeau in Calais. He spent his childhood in Woodland where he attended grade school and graduated from Woodland High School, class of 1987. John’s life was cut short but not before he had the chance to become an incredible father, a devoted son, the best big brother and friend to many. John attended Southern Maine Vocational School for electrical training before returning home to work for a short time at Border Electric until he began his career at the Woodland mill in 1989. Over the next 26 years John wore many hats at the mill. His strong work ethic and ability to never take life too serious helped him develop great friends during his time there. He will be remembered for his love of life, his big heart and as a tease. He was a superb cook and loved to spend time on Big Lake where he fished and was the captain of his pontoon boat. Many memories he held dear at Camp Kookamunga with his hunting and fishing buddies. John was predeceased by his grandparents, Bud and Ruth Hartford and Victor and Gladys Neddeau. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Jean Neddeau of Baileyville; his children, Michael, Aaron, Billy, Heidi and Nathan and their mother, Lydia Neddeau; sisters, Sherri Emery and her husband, Mike, Bette Tomah and her husband, Dennis and Stacey Connolly and her husband Glenn, all of Baileyville; his little Beau bro, Beau McLaughlin; seven nieces and nephews, Michael, Shelby, JD, Keith, Alex, Lily and Little D; two great nephews, Stevie and Valor; his parents-in-law, Bill and Gwen Johnson; several aunts and uncles, including two special aunts, Joan McLean and Madeline Perkins; many cousins; his extended work family and his feline companion, Ozzy. John will be missed by many. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29th at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais where a funeral service will be held Saturday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Princeton Rod and Gun Club, at PO Box 154, Princeton, ME 04668.
