John Joseph O'Bar Jr.

Marshfield, MA – John J. O’Bar Jr, , formerly of Watertown, CT, died unexpectedly Friday, November 6, 2015 on his 46th birthday. John passed away doing what he loved the most, hunting in Maine. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved the ocean, hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching his sons play soccer.

John is survived by his love of 18 years, Lynn Deveau; his two sons, Justin (age 15) and Nathan (age 9), all of Marshfield, MA; his mother, Sharon Curulla of Watertown, CT; his father, John O’Bar Sr. and his wife Cindy of Wolcott, CT; three sisters, Christelle Sadler and husband James of Ashburn, VA, Sherri lava and husband Frank of Watertown, CT, Jessica DiSapio and husband Carmine Jr. of Watertown, CT; his half-brother Christopher O’Bar of Wolcott, CT; step-sister Lisa Nadolny of Wolcott, CT; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visiting hours will begin 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, at the First Congregational Church, 40 Deforest St., Watertown, CT. A celebration of John’s life will follow at 10 a.m. in the church.
