Joyce Marie Williams

Calais – Joyce Marie Williams, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 with her daughter Yvonne and caretaker Krista by her side after her battle with lymphoma. Joyce was born in Calais on August 14, 1936, daughter to Cecil and Inez (Doten) Frost.

She graduated from Calais Memorial High School, Class of 1954. Joyce was a Jehovah Witness and enjoyed doing his work.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband Carl Robert Williams; a daughter Orene Clark; two granddaughters, Tammy Lynn and Sonja Jean Clark; and two grandsons, Michael E. Morrell and William P. Cookson. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Debbie Dow, Yvonne Morrell and Danny; and Dolores Moores and husband Kenny; sons Ross Cookson Jr. and William Cookson and wife Amy; stepson Rocky Williams and wife Toni; and one brother, Leonard Frost and wife MaryAnn. Joyce is also survived by a niece, nephew, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A special Thank You to mom’s friends, Krista, Lisa, Heather, Debbie, Cathy, and the many others that were there for her.

In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, a graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Alexander Cemetery.
