Juanita LaVerne Matthews

Edmunds – Juanita LaVerne (Preston) Matthews, 63, passed away in Bangor on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born December 21, 1951 in Lubec to Hardy R. and Ruth E. (Laslie) Preston. Juanita was known for her infectious smile and quick wit. She prided herself in her family and was always enjoying the antics and mischief of her grandchildren and great grandchild, Max. She is survived by the love of her life, Larry; daughter, Anita (her constant companion, sidekick, and mini-me) and her husband, Randy; son, Robert and wife Angie; grandchildren, Justin and his fiancée Jen, Tim, Tamika, Nakita and her fiancé Brandon, Kiki and Cody; a great grandson, Maxwell; the light of her life, sister by heart, Donna; siblings, Dennis and George; special family friend, Keith and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Stephen, Calvin and Morris and her sister, Lydia. A graveside service will be held, 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21st at Dennysville Cemetery.
