Robbinston – Judith Ann Cameron, 69, passed away at her home in Robbinston. Judith was born in Newburyport, MA on March 25, 1943, daughter of the late Howard and Blanche (Lucier) Lawler. After graduating from Kents Hill High School Judith married Richard Girard and they moved to New Jersey. While raising her three children she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University. She taught school in Paterson and Wayne, NJ, owned an advertising and publication company, sold insurance and worked as a real estate agent. Judith eventually moved to Pennsylvania where she initially owned and operated a horse farm, and later served as the director for a church’s learning center. After earning her master’s degree in special education from Lehigh University, she married Robert Cameron and together they started their own learning center called Young’uns, and later a consignment shop which they owned until their retirement. Upon retiring, Judith and Bob moved to Robbinston. She was an active member of Perry Grange 324 where she served as secretary, enjoyed horses and had numerous hobbies. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Richard Girard Sr.; her second husband Robert Cameron; and her brother William Lawson. Surviving are her three children, Deborah Saus and her husband Richard of Bloomingdale, NJ, Richard Girard Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Clayton, NC, and Leslie Girard and her husband George Lemak of Slatington, PA; five grandchildren, Ashley and Richard Saus of Bloomingdale, NJ, Richard Girard III of Clayton, NC, Theresa Lemak of Allentown, PA, and George Lemak of Slatington, PA; and her faithful canine companion Kita. In keeping with Judith’s wishes there will be no service. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport. Donations in Judith’s memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 654 State St., Bangor, ME 04401, where she stayed while her husband Bob was sick and was eternally grateful for their hospitality, or the Perry Grange 324, c/o Geneva Duncan Frost, PO Box 316, Perry, ME 04667, where Judith was active and made many friends.
