Judy Ann Gillam

Robbinston and Marietta, GA – Judy Ann (Johnson) Gillam, 65, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Peacetree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA. Judy was born in Manchester, NH on April 4, 1949, daughter of Ernest and Eva (Merryfield) Johnson. She graduated from high school in Milford, NH, received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from University of New Hampshire in 1971, and earned her master’s degree in Mathematics from Rutgers University in 1975. In 1980 she married William Robin Gillam in Shrewsbury, NJ. Judy was a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and worked in insurance bureaus ISO and NCCI before doing independent consulting until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and watching home repair shows like This Old House and using what she learned to make her own home repairs.

Judy was predeceased by her mother, Eva Johnson in 2011. Surviving are her husband William Robin Gillam of Robbinston and Marietta, GA; two sons, W. Danny Gillam and wife Ilke and son Logan of Istanbul, Turkey, and Mark E. Gillam of Boca Raton, FL; her father Ernest Johnson of Robbinston; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Brewer Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
