Keith E. Smith

Keith Edgar Smith, 90, passed away Saturday, November 4^th, 2023, at Maine Veteran’s Home in Machias. Keith was born in Machias on April 11, 1933, the son of Bertram Smith and Winifred Bryant.

Keith graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1951. He worked in a lumber mill until he got drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. He returned home and worked various jobs throughout his life. He worked as a propane/gas deliveryman, local lumber mill and a clam digger for 17 years.

Keith loved riding his motorcycle during his free time.

Keith is predeceased by his parents Bertram and Winifred, his companion Shirley Hoyt, brother Harold and his sister Janice. He is survived by his two nieces Lorna Brown and Kelly Green.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport.
