Calais – Kenneth Gregory Manship, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 with his loving wife by his side at a Bangor hospital. Kenny was born in Caribou on January 19, 1932, son of the late Clinton and Ellen (Noonan) Manship. He graduated from Calais Memorial High School in 1951 and served in the Army National Guard. Kenny work for Georgia Pacific but spent most of his career as an auto parts salesman for Eastern Auto and Varney’s in Calais. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Calais, a member of Sherman Bros. Post #3 American Legion, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Kenny enjoyed collecting coins and Louis L’Amour books, and wintering at Mexico Beach in Florida. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his loving wife Patricia (Loy) Manship of Calais; two children, Kim Malloch and her husband Bob of Brunswick, and Nancy Osgood and her husband Lynwood of West Gardiner; six step-children, James Poulin of Calais, Mary Barnard of Wichita Falls, TX, Catherine Jensen and her husband Gene of Neenah, WI, Patricia Sirois and her husband Dennis of Bangor, Larry Poulin and his companion Tammy Jalbert of West Port Island, and Beatrice Poulin of Houston, TX; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dolores Dodge and her husband Philip of Northfield; many nieces and nephews; and many relatives in Ireland and England. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Calais with Rev. James Plourde celebrant. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
