Pembroke - Kerry Rose Brown of Pembroke, ME passed peacefully in the loving embrace of her parents on October 31, 2018, after a brief but powerful and important journey in this world.
Born only three days prior on October 28, 2018, Kerry was welcomed with so much love from her friends and family. While she wasn't given the chance to live a long life, Kerry's light and lessons will leave an indelible mark. She was a teacher of compassion, hope, appreciation, kindness, and most importantly, love. Life rarely follows anticipated paths or hopeful outcomes. Whether fair or unfair, some are simply not afforded enough time to be with those they love. She may be gone far too soon, but Kerry will forever remain in her family's thoughts and hearts.
Kerry is survived by her mother and father, Laura Baker and Colin Brown, and her big sister Nora Brown of Pembroke. She is also survived by her grandparents: Tyra Baker (Yia-Yia), Stephen Baker, Lynn Mallis (Papou), and her Mimi and Bampy, Mary and Kevin Brown. Kerry also leaves behind loving aunts and uncles, Anna Baker, Tom Baker, Maggie Brown, and Shannon and Jesse Shimer; and great-grandparents, Dixie Baker, Evelyn Farrell, and Ward Farrell, plus many more cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends.
A private service will be held by Kerry's family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kerry to Eastern Maine Medical Center NICU, or Downeast Community Hospital. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.maysfuneralhome.com
