Calais – Lillian Mae Martell, 99, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at a Calais nursing home. Lillian was born in Calais, March 6, 1906, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Duncan) Fullerton. She was a member of St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville and enjoyed children and animals. Lillian was looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband, Aime` “Babe” Martell, a son, Edmond Martell, two sisters, Nellie Johnson and Rose McAloon, and a brother, William Fullerton. Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Martell of Calais; five grandchildren, Joanne Howland and husband Kevin of Baileyville, James Martell and companion Bobbie Daggett of Baileyville, Daryl Martell and wife Lori of Georgia, Barbara LaPrell and husband Eddie of Bangor, and Donna Martell and companion John of Phippsburg; four great-grandchildren, Whitney, Veronica, Ryan, and Danny; many great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many many friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Frank Morin on Thursday, 10 a.m., at St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville. A spring burial will be in Woodland Cemetery
