Lorraine Bertie (Sevy) Jamieson passed away surrounded by her loving family at Calais Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness on November 13, 2023. She was born February 7th, 1934, the daughter of Ervin and Marie (Harris) Sevy of Corliss, WV. She was married to her husband Harry, for 66 years. She met Harry through a blind date arranged by her best friend Kitty while living with her and her husband Swede in Hampton, VA. Swede and Harry were navy buddies stationed together aboard the battleship USS Mississippi. They married and moved to Dennysville, ME in 1956 where they lovingly raised four children. She was a loving mother, a caring neighbor to all who came to her door, and was a 66 year communicate of St. John’s Catholic Church in Pembroke ME. She loved to make quilts and made over thirty-seven, giving them away to family and friends. She enjoyed making various arts and crafts both for sale at the local fairs and church fundraisers. She was one of the main organizers for the annual church craft fair and quilt show and won several ribbons for her own quilts. One of her quilts called the Maine Quilt won at the State Fair and moved on to the Capital for a showing. Mom was also a great outdoorsman. She played baseball with neighborhood kids, took the family camping at Cobscook Bay State Park, rode bicycles, and loved to go sliding with us across the road in the Curtis fields.
