M. Joan Denyer (Yardley)

December 10, 1939 — March 12, 2020

Cutler – When M. Joan Denyer was born on December 10, 1939, in New Brunswick, Canada, her father, William was 28 and her mother, Pauline was 22. She has two daughters with Ronald W. Denyer. Joan died on March 12, 2020 in Bangor at Eastern Maine Medical Center at the age of 80.

Joan worked at National Semiconductor as an Engineer. She loved and cared for her family deeply. When she was young, she loved camping, boating and snowmobiling. She was a wonderful painter and loved socializing with her family and friends. Joan was the matriarch of the family and was the glue that held everyone together.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ron Denyer in September of 2016 and her grandson, Josh Barron in 2011. Joan is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Oliver and husband Randy of Limerick, and Lynn Barron of Cutler; granddaughter, Sarah Yeo and her husband Tyler of East Baldwin; grandsons Ronnie Oliver and his wife Carla of Newport Isle of White, UK, and Corey Oliver and his wife Denise of Limington; great grandchildren, Zoe and Stella Yeo and Amelia and Ethan Oliver; a brother, Bill Yardley and wife Mary of St. Stephen, NB and two sisters, Trudy Higgins and husband John of St. Stephen, NB, and Pauline Devlin and husband Timothy of St. Stephen, NB.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
