Margaret Dorothy Davis

Perry - Margaret “Peggy” Davis 66, passed away in Perry at her home on June 17, 2022. She was born July 13, 1955 to Roy and Irene Pottle in Eastport, ME. Peggy graduated from Shead Memorial High School in 1973 and University of Maine in Machias in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of Saint Kateria Tekawitha.
Peggy taught middle grades at Eastport Elementary School for 33 years.She married Robert Davis in 1979. They built their home in Perry on the shore. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and treasured time spent with her grandkids. Peggy cherished family trips and all the adventures her grandkids took her on. Reading poetry and walking the beach were some of her favorite pasttimes.
She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters Laura Craig and husband Joseph and Samantha Aldoyn and husband Alfred and loving grandchildren Jordyn, Summer, and Axl. Siblings: Anne Brewster and husband Robert, Susan Mitchell and partner Gary Griffin, Thomas Pottle and wife Joyce, and Teresa Craig and husband Stephen. Sister-in-laws Sandra Pottle and husband Mason and Susan Brown and husband Scott. Aunts: Sandra Pottle, Mary McDonald, Hazel Glavin, and Dorothy Roherty, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Joseph Church, 51 Washington St., Eastport. Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery, Perry. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Daughters of Isabella, Circle 871, PO Box 225, Eastport, ME 04631 or Susie Foundation for ALS patients, 15 Carleton Road West Hartford, CT 06107. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
