Obituary for Margaret Elizabeth Spearin

Baileyville – Margaret Elizabeth Spearin, 81, died unexpectedly Friday, April 13, 2007, at her home. Margaret was born in Milltown, N.B., January 18, 1926, daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret (Jones) Ross. She married Ronald Albert Spearin Sr. on September 27, 1948 in Milltown, N.B. Margaret was a past member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Baileyville. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, going for car rides, and spending time with her family. Margaret was predeceased by two children, James and Diana Spearin; three sisters, Agnes Barter, Louise Ross, and Irene McGinnis; and a brother, Harold Ross. Surviving are her loving husband of over 58 years, Ronald Spearin Sr.; two children, Ronald Spearin Jr. and wife Donna of Charlotte, and Linda Spearin-Littlefield and husband Richard of Bethel; a brother, Edward Ross of Milltown, N.B.; five grandchildren, Ronald Spearin III and fiancé Mary Ann Brown of Charlotte, Robin Montgomery of Brooklyn, NY, Rhonda Spearin and fiancé Richard Bowels of Milltown, ME, Torey Howard of So. Portland, and Nichole Howard of Farmingdale; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Scott and Nathan Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews. At Margaret’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Community Health & Counseling Services, 42 Cedar St., Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
