Marie Francis Kinney

Pembroke – Marie Francis Kinney, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Atlantic Rehab & Nursing Center in Calais. Marie was born in Perry on April 20, 1923, daughter of the late Edwin and Nellie (Aylward) Owens. She graduated from the Pembroke area schools and attended business college in Bangor. On May 5, 1951, Marie married Charles Kinney. They moved back to the Pembroke area where she raised her family. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband Charles Kinney; a daughter Lynn Kinney Townsend; and her brother, Edward Owens. Surviving are her son, John Kinney and his wife Linda of Albuquerque, N.M.; son-in-law Richard Townsend of Perry; and her grandson Charles Townsend of Perry.
