Obituary for Marilyn Trott

Perry – Marilyn Joyce Trott, 77, died Saturday, November 08, 2008 at a Bangor nursing home. Marilyn was born in Eastport on November 7, 1931, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Craig. She graduated from Shead High School. Following graduation, Marilyn worked for the Coca-Cola Co. in Eastport as a bookkeeper, various local sardine factories, and finally at Guilford Industries. Marilyn was the first person outside of the Dore family to be taught to make wreaths, which she did for over 50 years. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Pigeon Hill Farm. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn had a love for children, always keeping her door open to the area kids. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Shirl Trott Sr.; and two brothers, Phillip and Raymond Craig. Surviving are her two sons, Shirl Trott Jr. and his wife Joy of Perry, and Judson Trott and Carrol Sutton of Pembroke; three daughters, Lois Chambers and her husband Jerry of Perry, Ruby Trott and her husband Jeff Moore of Edmunds, and Elizabeth Dupee and her husband Dana of Perry; two sisters, Betty Bailey of Perry and Kathy Lawrence and her husband William of Eastport; three brothers, Gary Craig and his wife Patty of Eastport, Stan Craig and his wife Marge of R.I., and James Craig and his wife Rena of Eastport; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
