Perry – Marion Elizabeth McPhail, 84, wife of the late Robert O. McPhail, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. Marion was born in Honeydale, N.B. Canada on March 23, 1927, daughter of the late Columbus and Flora (Scott) McLaughlin. She worked in fish factories, blueberry raking, wreath making, and was a caregiver in her later years. Marion enjoyed going to Meals for Me, and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by six brothers, Melvin, Ralph, Albert, Lawrence, Kenneth and Alma; and five sisters, Mildred, Carrie, Phillis, Beatrice and Addie. Surviving are her children, Gloria VonAtzingen and her husband John of Hewitt, NJ, Linda Tinker and her husband Harry of Rochester, NH, Lorraine Kinney and her husband Dennis of Perry, and Karen Tinker and her husband David of Perry; her grandchildren Harry Tinker Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Wells, Tammy Brogan and her husband Steven of Rochester, NH, Robert VonAtzingen of Hewitt, NJ, Walter Kinney of Millis, MA, Tracy Smith and her husband Jason of Sidney, Joni Kinney of Perry, David Tinker Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Perry, and Lynn Page and her husband Joshua of Eastport; her great-grandchildren, Jessie, Crystal, Megan, Bruce, Tyler, Andrea, Angelica, Stevi Rae, Nathaniel, Danielle, Gabriel, Timmy, Adam, Amanda O., Amanda P., Jasmine, Steven, Anthony, Robbie, and her special great-grandson, Jonathon; one great great-grandson, Joseph; a brother, Clifford McLaughlin of NB Canada; special friends Jean and Ann; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours and a celebration of Marion’s life was held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church on Liberty Hill Rd. in Pembroke with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial followed in Leland Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
