Marion was born in Lambert Lake on June 28, 1912, daughter of the late Herbert and Effie Grass. Marion was a devoted mother and a great friend; she was a generous woman who was always willing to help out anyone who was down or ill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald W. Trafton; a sister, Velma O’Brien; a brother, Verde “Bud” Grass; and a special niece Paula Jeanne Tuck who Marion raised from infancy. Surviving are her son, Ralph Trafton and his wife Marcia, of Brewer; her daughter Geraldine Jellison and her husband David, of California; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly O’Neill and her husband David, of Portland; Andrea Trafton and Tom Hansen of Bangor; David “Chip” Jellison and wife Tanya of Nebraska; Connie Jellison and her husband Paul of Utah; Dale Jellison of Nebraska; and Craig Tuck of Harpswell; 2 great grand children Jaimie and Samantha Jellison of Nebraska; 2 step great-grand children, Drew and Daine Driesan of Nebraska; and Sharon Grass and her husband Jeff of Baileyville, who was like a daughter to Marion. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Princeton Congregational Church Main St., Princeton, Tom Tuck officiating with a graveside service to follow at Vanceboro Cemetery.
