Baileyville – Mary G. Crosby, 87, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Calais Regional Hospital. Mary was born in Eastport on February 23, 1924. After graduating from Woodland High School, Class of 1942, she worked as a stitcher for Ware Knitters in Calais for 20 years at which time she left to raise her children. Mary was a member of People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville where she was a member of United Methodist Women and served on the PPR Committee. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, needle point, reading, word search puzzles and cooking. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Almeda James. Surviving are her loving husband Donald Crosby; four children, Donna Crosby of Vassalboro, Susan Crosby of Baileyville, Barbara Testa and her husband Bryon of Leominster, MA, and David Crosby of Cotuit, MA; a grandson, Nicholas Testa of Leominster, MA; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Woodland Cemetery in Baileyville. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
