Cutler - Mary Evelyn Densmore Waycott, 54, passed away at Downeast Community Hospital in Machias, surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant fight with cancer on July 21, 2021.
Mary was born on September 9th, 1966 in St Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada to Marvin and Olive (Smith) Densmore. She was always known to be a vibrant woman who could light up any room with her practical jokes, wise cracks, and infectious laughter. She was predeceased by her parents and also her sisters Lisa Densmore and Brenda Densmore, and her older brother Ernest Densmore.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Harold Waycott. As well as her children Tina Bennett (Johnathan), Daniel Waycott (Kendra), Adam Waycott (Alexandra), and Bruce Waycott (Miranda). Her adoring grandchildren, Chloe, Sean, Shelby, Caidence, Lily, Lillie, Kaycee, Dominic, Kennedy, and Theo. Also, Mary’s Siblings, Susan Moore (Ricky), Cindy Densmore, Tammy Scott (Corey), Pamela Hiltz (Kevin), and Robert Densmore. Many loved nieces and nephews, close family and friends.
Mary was always the brightest smile in the room and whether she just got lucky on her scratch tickets or spent the day watching lifetime movies with her favorite dog Baboots (BooBoo) she always made the best of every day. She enjoyed her family time during camping trips, fishing with the grandkids and road trips to press her luck at Hollywood Slots. She enjoyed overlooking her garden growing during the day. You could also catch her breaking out “In Spite of Ourselves” on karaoke and dancing around her kitchen. On Fridays you’d find Mary in her favorite spot surrounded by the family on game night or bluffing on poker night. Nana would always be at the ready with salt and vinegar snacks and candy treats for the grandkids. Mary was a strong and courageous woman who touched the lives of many in her time with us. She will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Calais Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Oliver officiating. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
