Masiel E Miller

Perry – Masiel E. Miller, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Perry. Masiel was born in Lubec on April 5, 1927, daughter of the late Jack and Sadie Surles. She attended Lubec area schools and worked in the local sardine factories in Eastport. Masiel loved geneology, was a member of the Border Historical Society in Eastport and helped operate the Barracks Museum in Eastport for many years. In addition to her parents, Masiel was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Otto “Junior” Miller; her sister Doris; and two brothers John and Norman. Surviving are her two children, Richard Miller and his wife Janet of Perry and Elaine Reichel and her husband Darrel of Kerrville, TX; three grandchildren, Raymond Miller and his wife Joanne of Kingston, NY, Alan Miller and his wife Cicelia of Ft. Hood, TX, and Eric Bunten and his wife Patricia of Walden, NY; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Masiel’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
