Baring – Michael Brent Doten, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Michael was born in St. Stephen, NB on March 25, 1955, son of Norman and Kay (Porter) Doten.
After graduating from Calais Memorial High School, Class of 1973, Michael started his career as a painter with the paper mill in Baileyville where he was still employed at the time of his passing. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a very proud member of the Exiles.
In addition to his parents Norman and Kay Doten, Michael was predeceased by his brother Ronald Doten. Surviving are his sister Lynda Foster of Medford, NJ; sister-in-law Debbie Doten of Baring; nieces and nephews, Lynn and Corey McIver of Princeton, Karen and Delton Stanley of Baileyville, Marikay and Shaun McMullen of Medford, NJ, and Jon Foster of Lexington, SC; many great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous cousins; friend Priscilla Bono of MA; and his extended family with the Exiles.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
