Michael Ernest Morrell

Robbinston – Michael Ernest Morrell, 35, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 4, 2016. Michael was born in Calais on January 21, 1981, son of Ernest and Janice Morrell, and Yvonne Morrell and Dan Merryfield. He graduated from Calais High School, Class of 1999. Michael was a hard worker and was currently employed with Woodland Pulp LLC in Baileyville. He enjoyed working on vehicles, ice fishing, spending time with his family, and riding his Harley.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, Aimee (DiLeo) Morrell; his two sons, Asa and Evan; step-daughters Natasha and Nicole Nicholson; his father Ernest Morrell and wife Janice; mother Yvonne Morrell and companion Dan Merryfield; a brother Darren Morrell and wife Jamie; special nephews Lucas Morrell and Christopher DiLeo; special father-in-law Tony DiLeo; special cousin Drake Mackenzie; his grandmothers Melva Morrell and Joyce Williams; step-brother Chris LaPointe; step-sister Erin Adams and husband Andy and their family; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his many biker friends.

Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at Second Baptist Church, 21 Church St., Calais, where a celebration of Michael’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9. Burial will follow in Brewer Cemetery, Robbinston. Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to a trust fund for his children, Morrell Family Trust Fund, c/o Machias Savings Bank, 210 North St., Calais, ME 04619.
