Baileyville – Michelle (Cox) Clark, 42, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2008 surrounded by her loving family following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Shell was born in Calais, February 28, 1965, the first child of Jack and Marguerite “Peggy” (McClure) Cox. After graduating from Woodland High School in 1983, she attended Bangor Community College. Since the 70’s, Shell has been with her childhood sweetheart, Randy Wm. Clark. They married on August 9, 1986, and shared 21 years, 5 months and 4 days together. The greatest pride, sunshine and accomplishments in Shell’s eyes were her two children, Desiree (15) and Timothy (13). She was employed at Downeast Credit Union in Baileyville for twenty years. Shell loved working there and loved and appreciated the family atmosphere. She enjoyed NASCAR, loved the Boston Red Sox, especially Jason Varitek, and enjoyed picking on Yankee fans, but according to Shell, there were not any. A beloved pastime for Shell was riding her scooter around town with the girls. Shell was predeceased by her father, Jack Cox; and her in-laws, William and Nona Clark. Surviving are her loving husband, Randy Wm. Clark; her two precious children, Desiree and Timothy; her mother, Peggy Cox and her companion Gary Johnson of Baileyville; her fraternal twin siblings, Melanie Devoe and her husband Rick of Baileyville, and Michael Cox of Canton, MA; an aunts and uncles, Viv and Bung (Ernest) Scott of South Princeton, and Jackie and Raymond Rosenberg of Randolph, MA; her mother-in-law, Dianne Jundt of Ocala, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Carla Jundt of Alexander; two nieces, Janelle and Lindsay Jundt; and all her “Credit Union Girls” whom she held special in her heart, Bette Papke, Linda Croman, Jill Hamilton, Bridget Monk and Tonia Hold; many cousins; and her faithful canine and feline companions. During her struggle with cancer, Shell was fortunate to have a fantastic and appreciated staff of nurses from the 6th floor at EMMC. Friends may call 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass in Memoriam will be celebrated by Father Eugene Gaffey 10 a.m. Friday at St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville. Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery in Baileyville. Shell had a love for animals. In her memory, donations may be made to PAWS, PO Box 182, Calais, ME 04619.
