Natalie M. Mahar

Natalie Mahar, 80, passed away September 23, 2022 in Bangor Maine with her family at her side.

She was born January 19, 1942 in Saint John NB, Canada to William and Mary (McNaught) Scott. 

Natalie married Carl Mahar on August 22, 1964; they recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. 

She worked for many years at Charlotte County Hospital in St Stephen NB. 

Natalie is survived by her loving husband Carl Mahar, and her brother Bill Scott. She also leaves behind four children and their families: Son Kevin, his wife Laurie and their children Matthew Cassidy, Leslie Moffatt and Jamie Moffatt. Son Steven and his children Jesse Miller and Stevey Rae Mahar. Son Scott and his fiancé Beth Meader, and his children Kyle and Morgan Mahar. Daughter Kelly and her children Bradley Mahar, Chelsea Skelton, Samantha Meserve and Rocky Meserve.

She also leaves eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. 

Natalie was predeceased by her parents, her infant son Carl, her brother Gary Scott and her sister Barbara Cloney, as well as two very dear friends, Jackie Gayton and Diane Barker. 

Natalie was well known and loved by everybody. She was always ready to lend a hand, give encouragement or share a positive thought. She could truly light up any room she entered. 

She enjoyed traveling, shopping and above all she loved her family.

Memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport
