Bangor and Eastport – Nevaeh Dawn “Angel Girl” Berry, 5 months and 16 days, passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms and her family by her side at a Bangor hospital following a battle with Pulmonary Capillary Hemangiomatosis, a rare lung disease. Nevaeh was born in Bangor on November 30, 2014, to Shaele Dawn Walter and Joshue Dale Berry.
She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Patricia Hanson of Eastport; and a great-uncle, Paul Arseneau. Surviving are her mother Shaele Walter of Bangor; father Joshue Berry of Machias; two sisters, Maddison and McKayla Berry; grandparents, Roseanne Arseneau of Bangor, George Walter of Calais, Robert Johnson of Perry, and Stephen “Grumpy” Conley of Eastport; great-grandfather Edward Hanson of Baileyville; aunts Amanda Walter and fiancé Cliff Garnett of Steuben, Brianna Conley of Bangor, and Katie Johnson of Perry; uncles Josh Walter of Bangor, Robert Johnson Jr. of Perry; special great-aunts and great-uncles, Donna and Timothy Stuart of Clifton, and Donald and Dianne Arseneau of Gardiner; two cousins, Kayliana Baker of Steuben, and Destiny Walter of Bangor; Godmother Cristin Carroll of Boston, MA; many other aunts and uncles; and numerous family friends including Kimberly Chadborne, Polly Sullivan, Jo Ann Wright, Susan Brown, James and Terri Randell, William Johnson, Chelsea Washburn, and many more followers of Nevaeh’s journey.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Amy Movious, Jonathan Wood, and George Payne, as well as all the nurses and staff at EMMC Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Drs., nurses and staff at Mass General Hospital in Boston for going above and beyond in their care of Nevaeh.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Mays Funeral Home – Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport, where a celebration of Nevaeh’s life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Bayside Cemetery.
