Princeton – Norma Arlene Waycott, 84, wife of the late Melvin “Cudge” Waycott Sr., passed away at her home on March 7, 2017. Arlene was born December 27, 1932 in Calais, daughter of William “Bill” and Evelyn (Roy) McGlauflin.
She graduated from Pembroke High School, Class of 1949 before joining the United States Airforce. Arlene married Virgil Bryant with whom she began a family while still in the Airforce. She later moved home and worked in the accounting office at Georgia Pacific for over 18 years. Arlene had a passion for sewing and quilting and she loved to read.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her first husband, Virgil Bryant, her second husband, Melvin Waycott Sr; her son, Michael Bryant and her brother Gordon.
She will be forever missed by her sons, Dennis Bryant and his wife Libby, Anthony Colarusso and his wife Louise and Larry Colarusso; daughter, Laura and Warren Hunt and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced in the spring. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
