Obituary for Norman L Gaylord

Lambert Lake – Norman L. Gaylord, 76, died April 4, 2010 at Calais Regional Hospital. He was born in Berkshire, MA on January 4, 1934 to Bert and Nettie (Greb) Gaylord. Norman joined the Army just after high school; he served in the Korean War and received an honorable discharge in 1956. He worked in several mills throughout the state as a pipefitter and eventually retired in Lambert Lake. Norman had a great loved for dogs, he always had one with him wherever he went. He had many dogs over the years but was very fond of his Saint Bernards. Norman was an avid sportsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Norman was a member of the American Legion Post #9 in Machias and the Upton Masonic Lodge in Cheshire, MA. In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by 3 sisters, Mildred, Anna Mae, and Ruth and 3 brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Paul. Surviving are his dear friend Reta Severance of Topsfield; daughter Norma LeBarron and her husband Mike of Hancock, MA; 2 sisters, June Callahan and Marge Toomey both of Pittsfield, MA; 2 grandsons, Andrew and Zachary LeBarron of Hancock, MA and his canine companion, Bonnie.
