Obituary for Patricia Althea Morrison

Calais – Patricia A. (Strout) Morrison, 84, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Calais Regional Hospital. Patricia was born in New Smyrna, FL on September 7, 1925, daughter of the late H. Luscombe and Althea (Washburn) Strout. She married Herbert Bruce Morrison on December 29, 1942. She was a member of Alcyone Chapter #71 Order of the Eastern Star in Milbridge for over 50 years. Patricia enjoyed reading, knitting and tending to her flower gardens. Her most cherished memories were those spent with her loving husband and children. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband on November 17, 2009; and her three brothers, Maurice “Sonny” Miller, H. Luscombe Strout Jr. and Willis Strout. Surviving are two sons, Dave Morrison and his wife Debbie of Mass., and Jim Morrison of Robbinston; three daughters, Bonnie Moffatt and her husband Morris of Calais, Susan Brown and her husband Nelson of Wells, and Christina Gillespie and her husband , Dennis of Meddybemps; ten grandchildren, Bob, Josh, Heather, Johnny, Artie, Kathy, Danita, Denise, Janna and Adam; seven great grandchildren, Jared, Kaylee, Kelsey, Kyle, Kaila, Kianna and Noah; and the family’s special friend Prudy Nesbit of Fla. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Calais Cemetery.
