Indian Township - Patricia Ann (Nicholas) Sockabasin (Pat), was a loving mother, wife, gram, Uhkomi, sister and friend. She left this world on March 8, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born to Louis and Esther Nicholas on February 6, 1937, at Pleasant Point. Surviving are her children, Audrey Newell and husband, Stephen, of Indian Township and children, Henry, Robi and Troy; David Nicholas and wife, Glenna, of Peter Dana Point and children, Jonathan, Jacob, Dianna and Audrey; Andrea Hanson and husband, Ed, of Alexander and children, Daniel and wife, Whitney, and Nick and wife, Rebecca; Ramona's children, Patty and Amber; Emily Day and husband, Jeff, of Martha's Vineyard, and their son, Matt; Clayton Sockabasin and fiancée, Kelly Lank, of Peter Dana Point and children, Isiah, Clayton, Brayden, Jacob and Olivia; daughter in her heart Becky Bailey and husband Kevin, of Indian Township and children, Kelly and husband, JD, Taylor, Kevin and Shane; 13 great-grandchildren Dakota, Kaiden, Jonah, Isiah, Taya, Drew, Haidyn, Paige, Jax, Wes, Eli, Avery, and Brynn Marie; sister, Ursula Newell, of Pleasant Point; brother in her heart, Carl Nicholas, Sr., of Indian Township; beloved nieces Esther and Laura; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; all of her godchildren that meant the world her; and her treasured canine companion and best friend, little Tank.
In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her devoted husband of 45 years, Clayton; cherished daughter, Ramona; beloved sisters Ramona, Juanita, and Blanche; brothers, Moses (Big), Andy and his wife Evelyn; brother-in-law, Tim; nieces Rhonda and Pam; nephews, Matthew and Linwood; and special brother-in-law, Dave (Big G).
Visiting hours will begin 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her home, 15 Oak Circle, Peter Dana Point, until 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, by Father Brad Morin at St. Ann Church, Peter Dana Point. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery, Peter Dana Point.
