Calais – Paul Vincent Goodine, 74, died Wednesday, February 07, 2007 at his home. Paul was born in Mayfield, N.B. Canada on January 22, 1933, son of the late Dual and Elizabeth (Grasse) Goodine. He married Dorothy Evelyn Wheelock on September 1, 1984. Paul worked as a warehouse supervisor for Ammex Duty Free until his retirement in 1998. He attended Immaculate Conception R.C. Church and enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening, the coast, and everyday “tinkering”. He was predeceased by four sisters, Vivian Cunningham, Jean Palmer, Sylvia Madsen, and Gertrude Omar. Surviving are his loving wife, Evelyn Goodine; two sons, Michael Goodine and wife Jeanne of Scottsdale, AZ, and David Goodine and wife Cathy of Alexander; four step-children, Lisa Thornton of Calais, Paula Dunne of Calais, Charles Libby of Bailey Island, and James Libby of Calais; a brother, Allen Goodine of Dubach, LA; three sisters, Roberta Bendonis of Cape Cod, MA, Margaret Cataldo of Millbury, MA, and Pauline Pearce of Fayetteville, NC; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Morin 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church on Calais Ave. Burial will follow at Calais Cemetery.
