Robbinston – Paul C. Nott, 65, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at a Calais hospital. Paul was born in Eastport, June 26, 1941, son of the late George and Thelma (Chute) Nott. Paul served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He married Mary Socoby on August 31, 1968. Paul was employed as a brakeman for Maine Central Railroad. He attended the First Congregational Church and was a member of Sherman Bros. Post 3 American Legion, both in Calais, and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Port Charlotte, FL. Paul enjoyed keeping busy around the house, watching war movies and the History Channel; coffee time in Eastport with his friends, and wintering in Florida with his beloved Jean. Paul loved his family, children, and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Paul was predeceased by his wife Mary Nott in 1993, and a sister, Jelaine Conti. Surviving are his loving companion, Jean Johnson of Robbinston, who made his last years very happy; three children, Joseph Nott and wife Jennifer of Baileyville, Rachelle Wentworth and husband William Sr. of Eastport, and Joanne Kienzle and husband Christopher of Atlanta, GA; a brother-in-law, Roger Conti; six grandchildren, Robert, William Jr., Amber, Michael, Andrew, and Chandler; and two nieces, Linda and Marilyn. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
